Citizens of the Philippines currently residing or working outside of the Philippines are entitled to vote in an election by virtue of the Overseas Absentee Voting Act - officially known as Republic Act No. 9189 - provided that they are are not disqualified by law and are at least 18 years old by the time of elections.
A registered overseas absentee voter may vote for the following positions:
Eligible Filipinos are required to file their applications personally at any of the MECO offices to become a registered voter.
