MECO Joins 2025 Asian Carnival in Taipei

The Asia Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce (ASTCC), together with its Asia-wide members, hosted the vibrant Asian Carnival with the theme  Beyond Borders, Asia United at the Taipei 101 Water Dance Plaza last Sunday (July 13). Attendees gathered to honor multicultural understanding, with a special focus on supporting migrant communities in Taiwan.

 

Representing the Philippines, Taiwan Association Inc. Philippines (TAP) made meaningful contributions by donating to three Filipino organizations that assist migrants, OFWs, and students: Hugyaw Mananayaw, Ugnayan Migrant and Immigrant Mission Center, and Stella Maris International Migrants’ Service Center.

MECO Chairperson and Resident Representative Atty. Cheloy E. Velicaria-Garafil, MNSA joined ASTCC leaders, Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation Chair Dr. Hsin-Huang Michael Hsiao, MOL Minister Hung, Sun-han, and other regional dignitaries, reaffirming MECO’s support for initiatives that uplift overseas Filipinos and strengthen ties between the Philippines and Taiwan.

 

Through cultural celebration and concrete support for migrant-focused NGOs, The event exemplified a commitment to public welfare and shared responsibility in building a more compassionate and united Asian community.
