The spirit of ‘Taiwan can help’ is truly alive as cheque donations from the Taiwan Government and the different Taiwan Associations were handed over to the DSWD through the representatives of the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO).

Shipments of relief goods first arrived in Cebu through Taiwan’s C-130 Aircraft on Christmas Day.

A total of 32 174 000 pesos worth of cash donations have come from Taiwan for the relief and rehabilitation of typhoon Odette victims. 

The turn-over ceremony was attended by DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista, NRLMB Dir. Emmanuel P. Privado and MECO Directors Ed Tamondong and Cesar Drilon, Jr.
