KAOHSIUNG, TAIWAN – Popular seafood harvests and a startup business from the Philippines were MECO’s highlights for the 2018 Taiwan International Fisheries and Seafood Show in Kaohsiung Exhibition Center last November 21, 2018.

A booth set up by MECO displayed samples of Philippine seafood cultivated in Palawan, Cebu and Roxas cities such as prawns, crabs and scallops.

MECO also showcased transponders and tracking devices produced by FAME (Futuristic Aviation and Maritime Enterprise), a new player in the telecommunication industry which manufactures communication devices that can be used by sea vessels and aircraft carriers.

Promoting Filipino startup businesses is one of the priorities of MECO’s commercial efforts because of their potential in offering innovative solutions in their respective industries. Last November 12, 2018, FAME, along with another Filipino startup OneWatt, landed in the Top 3 of the Star Maker pitch competition of the Inspiring Super Ideas! , a platform of the Taiwan’s Institute for Information Industry.
