The newly appointed MECO Chairperson and Resident Representative Cheloy E. Velicaria-Garafil visited the extension offices in Taichung and Kaohsiung on Tuesday, October 8.

During her visit, she met with the local staff and the heads of MECO’s regional offices, Taichung office MWO Director Bienvenido A. Cerbo Jr., Kaohsiung Director Ma. Karina B. Perida-Trayvilla and Kaohsiung MWO Director David Des T. Dicang where she learned the day-to-day operations and assess the facilities provided for our staff and to our clients.

The visit highlights Chairperson Garafil’s active engagement in furthering MECO’s mission in maintaining high-quality services to our clients and ensuring their needs are met.

Last month, around 500 clients were served during the MECOxLTO service mission in Taichung and Tainan City. The MECO Taichung and Kaohsiung extension offices collaborated with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) of the Philippines where they aimed to bring front-line services closer to the Filipinos. ##
