The public is advised of the delay in the issuance of Philippine passports submitted on or after 10 July 2024. According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (the “DFA”), these passport applications have been affected by the ongoing system maintenance of the printing facility of its service provider, APO Production Unit, Inc. As such, there have been issues with passport issuance and printing since 10 July 2024.
MECO is actively coordinating with the DFA as regards this matter and shall advise the public of developments in due course. The DFA has assured us that all affected passport applications will be printed and delivered as soon as the system maintenance has been completed.
