Passport Application Procedure and Reminders 

 

 

PLEASE BE GUIDED BY THE FOLLOWING: 

 

    1. Effective 02 January 2019, passport applications are STRICTLY BY APPOINTMENT. CLICK THE LINK TO SECURE AN ONLINE APPOINTMENT: passport.gov.ph 
    2. Securing an appointment is FREE OF CHARGE. 
    3. Make sure that the information entered in the application is accurate, and that a correct and working e-mail address is provided. 
    4. CONFIRM THE APPLICATION by clicking the link sent to your registered email address. 
    5. COME TO MECO ON YOUR APPOINTMENT DATE and bring the application form with the complete requirements. Applications with incomplete requirements and discrepant data will not be processed. 
    6. Renewal of passport may be made as early as one (1) year.  

 

NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED FOR THE FOLLOWING: 

    1. Senior Citizens (60 years old & above) 
    2. Minor children below 7 years old, accompanied by their parents 
    3. Pregnant women 
    4. Persons with disability, accompanied by their guardian 
    5. Caregivers accompanied by their elderly ward 
    6. Fishermen  

 

 

PASSPORT APPLICATION SCHEDULE: 

 

Monday-Thursday: 

8:00 AM to 2:30 PM 

 

Friday: 

8:00 AM to 12:30 PM 

 

Sunday: 

9:00 AM to 12:30 PM 

 

 

ATTIRE DURING PASSPORT APPLICATION 

The Manila Economic and Cultural Office is a formal institution representing the Philippines’ interests in Taiwan. As such, visitors and clients are expected to dress appropriately for their appointments and/or transactions at any of MECO’s offices. Those wearing shorts, slippers, and/or sleeveless shirts will be denied entry. Further, during the taking of biometrics for passport applications, clients will be asked to remove contact lenses, headbands, earrings, necklaces, or other items that will obstruct the face.
