INTRODUCTION

The Waiver of Exclusion Ground (WEG) is a formal permission of at least one of the parents or legal guardian of a child below fifteen (15) years old who, upon entry to the Philippines is unaccompanied by any of his or her parent or legal guardian.

At least one of the parents or legal guardian of the child must execute an Affidavit for WEG and authorize another adult to accompany the child. Failure to secure the Affidavit for WEG may result to the exclusion of entry of the child into the Philippines.

WEG是一種正式授權許可，其目的是讓未滿15歲的兒童，在父或母任一方或者法定監護人未同行的狀況下，授權並指定另一名成年人陪同此兒童入境菲律賓。

WEG的申請方式是，兒童的父或母任一方或者法定監護人，須簽署WEG宣誓書，用來授權並指定另一名成年人陪同該兒童入境菲律賓。

若入境菲律賓時，未滿15歲的兒童，在父或母任一方或者法定監護人未同行的狀況下，亦無持完整認證的WEG宣誓書，可能會導致兒童被禁止入境。

PROCESS

WEG宣誓書流程

1.    The Affidavit for WEG Form may be downloaded from the MECO website. Templates for the Affidavit for WEG for multiple children is also available.

可從MECO網站上下載單個孩童使用的WEG宣誓書表格 Affidavit for WEG Form。如果同一家庭有二個以上兒童，並且行程相同，可以使用多個兒童的表格Affidavit for WEG for multiple children。

2.    Kindly fill out the form accurately based on the information reflected on the passports and the travel itinerary.

根據護照資訊和旅行行程上的資訊，完整正確的填寫WEG宣誓書表格。

3.    Prepare at least 3-4 copies of the Affidavit for WEG form.

至MECO申請時，請準備3-4份認證完成的WEG宣誓書。

4.    All the copies of the Affidavit for WEG should be notarized by any Notary Public / District Court in Taiwan. The affiant must sign in front of the Notary Public.

請父或母任一方或者法定監護人，準備填寫完整正確的WEG宣誓書，在地方法院的公證人，或民間公證人面前親自簽名(中文可) ，並經由公證人公證。

5.    After notarization, kindly bring all originals of the notarized Affidavit for WEG to the Taiwan Bureau of Consular Affairs for authentication.

將所有公證過的WEG宣誓書，送交台灣外交部領事事務局(BOCA)進行認證。

6.    Finally, please present all notarized and authenticated copies to MECO for authentication. The application for visa may also be done on the same day. 

將所有由公證人公證及領事事務局認證完成的WEG宣誓書，送交MECO進行最後認證並可以同時辦理簽證。

7.    The process for authentication by MECO of the Affidavit for WEG will take two (2) working days, unless expedited service is availed of.

MECO對於WEG宣誓書的認證，流程為兩(2)個工作日。(急件除外)

REMINDERS

提醒事項

·      All the details or information contained in the Affidavit of WEG must be accurate.

WEG宣示書中的所有細節或資訊，必須與相關證件相同。

·      At least two (2) sets of documents must be presented to MECO for authentication since MECO will retain one (1) copy.

至MECO申請認證時，請準備至少2份WEG宣誓書表格(常規件為一式3份)，MECO將保留其中一份經過認證的副本。

·      The process at MECO may be done by an authorized representative. The parent need not be the one to submit the documents to MECO.

MECO認證流程，可以委託代辦，父母不需要親自到MECO送件。
